Our Beliefs
Core values are the things that make our church seem a bit different from other churches around us. We recognize that God has called thousands of church bodies together to bring Him glory and honor. These values are constants that permeate the culture of MCC.Passionate WorshipGod deserves a passionate response from His children. In our Sunday worship services, we encourage people to sing and learn of God in a way that displays their passion for Him. However, worship is more than just a Sunday service; it is a willful submission of a life to God. We passionately submit ourselves to God's lifestyle in our church, in our homes, and in the community God has called us to reach. As God's children, we are meant to live our lives passionately and publically loving God. Colossians 3:23.Everyone Can ServeWe believe that everyone, including kids, is called to serve in areas where they are gifted. In God's Kingdom there are many ways we can serve: helping kids, cleaning and construction projects, serving on Sundays, teaching and leading others, giving ourselves in service in our communities... all are necessary. Everyone has a way that they can serve someone else. At MCC, we know that God places people in our midst for a reason... part of that reason is to serve others. Ephesians 4:16.Compassionately Meeting Others NeedsUnderstanding how good God has been to us, leads us to respond to others the same way. God calls us to compassionately reach out to others, whether it be through generous financial giving, a card with words of encouragement, a care package, or a meal delivered in times of need. At MCC, we have a heart for meeting the needs of others. Matthew 25:40.Real People, Real FriendshipsAt MCC, you will find a group of people who genuinely care. Friendships matter. God created us to exist in a community. From our small groups to our foyer, from senior ministry to children's ministry, you will find a hugging group of people at MCC. Real friends allow us to be real people, but they also don't allow excuses to keep us from real change. We believe that God works through our relationships to help us become His children. Friendships founded in Christ will last beyond this life. John 13:35.Transforming LivesGod calls every believer to become more like Jesus. The church offers classes, small groups and seminars knowing that God wants to transform lives. Growth is a constant part of the Christian life. We are not changed once by God and then left alone. God is constantly in the change business, and we love to celebrate the growth and transformation that God brings to peoples lives here. Romans 12:2.
