THEIR ROLES:
Elders: Equip godly leadership, guide the overall direction for the church, shepherd the congregation and protect the church from falsehood.
Current Elders: Brian Carr and Frank Kania
Deacons: Lead, recruit, train, and offer spiritual encouragement. Deacons set an example in service and leadership. They serve a two year term.
Current Deacons: Steve Cameron, Amanda Dodge, Tom Pfeiffer, and Kent Wagner
Trustees: Arrange for the leasing/renting of the property, sign all contracts necessary to sell/purchase land, building or equipment on behalf of the church, and negotiate/sign all applications for loans or mortgages, upon approval of a majority of the active members of the church.

mark vanrheenen
Mark has been a member at Macomb since 2021. He previously served as an Elder at churches in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Mark recognizes he is a changed person because of Christ and the Spirit living within him. He enjoys traveling, fellowship with members of Macomb and neighbors, hiking, reading, and watching football.

john knott
John has been a member of the church since 2002. He has served as a Deacon, Kids, Tween and Student Ministries. He leads a LIFE Group and served on the Building and Grounds team. He follows God where the Holy Spirit leads. John enjoys hunting, fishing, traveling and philately.

barbara juan
Barbara Juan has been a member at Macomb since 2017. She has served as Deacon and a Stephen Minister. Barbara firmly believes our life as Christian's is fully lived ONLY when our life is lived for others. She has a background as facilitator for domestic violence support group and victims advocate for women/children.
ameen kadri
Ameen has a member at Macomb since 2020. He serves as part of the Management Team, runs tech on the Worship Team and is a pivotal part of updating our technology and aesthetics in the building. Ameen enjoys leading teams of people and teaching and empowering others. He is skilled in the areas of production and technology and believes when we strive for excellence in everything we do, we honor God and inspire others. Ameen and his family enjoy camping, travelling, and spending time with friends as much as possible.
colleen mead
Colleen has been a member at Macomb since 2015. She currently serves in Kids Ministry and the Worship Team. She can also often be found cooking in the kitchen and showing God’s love through food. Colleen has a passion for teaching kids and helping them grow in faith. In her free time Colleen enjoys singing, watching movies, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
jeremy tunks
Jeremy has been a member of Macomb since 2014. He serves in multiple ministry areas including Student Ministry, LIFE Group Leader, Worship Team, and Sunday Morning Servants. He also supports many other ministries as needs are identified. Jeremy enjoys watching and following most sports. His favorite is watching Pistons basketball and has season tickets with his brother.
andy young
Andy has been a member at Macomb since 2007. He has attended a countless number of LIFE Groups in that time. He is very happily married with 3 children, ages 3, 7, and 10. He is an automotive engineer for Chrysler. In his free time, he enjoys doing redneck stuff: trucks, camping, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, really anything that gets him out of the city and into the woods.
Beth vanrheenan
Beth has been a member at Macomb since 2021. She is active in two LIFE Groups, volunteers with the Sunday Greeters, and is a reading coach at Schwarzkoff Elementary. She also enjoys helping teach the Connections Classes. Beth enjoys reading, writing, hiking, gardening, and knitting, but her favorite activity is traveling with her husband, Mark.

mike gerstenlauer
Mike has been members at Macomb since early 2021. Mike serves as a Greeter and on Building and Grounds Team. Prior to coming to Macomb, he in similar roles at Meadowbrook Christian Church. He is retired from a 50-year career at Ascension Health. Mike also worked with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers to build COVID field hospitals at Cobo Hall and Novi Suburban Collection Showplace prior to retirement. Mike was a Boy Scout Scoutmaster, Eagle Scout, and a Youth Soccer coach when his sons played.
