what happens at the meeting?
The congregational meeting is a public meeting. It is open to anyone; and everyone is encouraged to attend. We will present our 2021 financial plan and vote new leaders added to our leadership teams: Elders, Deacons and Trustees. Your participation and prayers for our church and its leaders are encouraged.

what are their roles?
Elders: Equipping godly leadership, guiding the overall direction for the church, shepherding the congregation, protecting the church from falsehood. The Elders meet with the ministers on a monthly basis and serve a term of three years.
Current Elders: Derek Dexter, Craig Knepper, Darcy Schrieber
Deacons: Lead, recruit, train, and offer spiritual encouragement. Deacons set an example in service and leadership. They serve a two year term.
Current Deacons: Brad Bagans, Adam Demchik, Amanda Dodge, Barbara Juan, Barby Knepper, John Knott, Tom Pfeiffer, Robert Trunoske, Kent Wagner
Trustees: Are legally given authority to sign contracts on behalf of the church as directed by our Elders and a vote of the congregation. They serve a five year term.
Current Trustees: Adam Demchik, Derek Dexter and Larry Sommers
And the nominees are
Brian has been married to Linda since 2008 and they have two children together, Abigail and Ava. He also has two step-daughters, Alyssa and Brittany, and two grandchildren, Farrah and Liam. He has attended Macomb Christian Church for 27 years and has served kids ministry, youth and Tween sponsorship, IT, MCREST, our prayer room, Outreach Team and as an Elder. Outside of work and serving, he enjoys sports (Go Sparty!), movies and spending time with friends and family.
Frank has been married to Jann since 1988 and has three adult children, Frank III, Melissa, and Megan. They have eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Frank has attended Macomb Christian Church for 25 years and served in Men's Ministry, a Deacon, and as an Elder. His favorite saying is “Life without God is like an unsharpened pencil. IT IS POINTLESS!”. Frank enjoys bowling, model building, and hunting and fishing.
Tom has been married to Kasee since 1997 and they have a son, Brandon. Tom and his family have attended Macomb since 2012 and is member. Currently he serves as a Deacon as a part of building and grounds ministry. Tom enjoys working on his house, antique cars, antique arcade games and spending time with his family and watching Brandon play baseball.
Kent has been married to Diane, since 1978 and they have a son, Stephen. He has attended Macomb Christian Church since 2003 and serves as a Deacon in Kids Ministry. Additionally, he teaches on Sunday mornings and during Engage, and is on the financial team as a counter. Diane and he are passionate Tiger fans (hopes to get back to the World Series) and enjoys golf.
Adam Demchik, Derek Dexter and Larry Sommers are being voted to renew their roles as Trustees.

March Sunday Generosity Cards = ~ 100 Cards (very positive responses)
March Prayer Night = ~ 50 people attended
March MCREST = hosted 30 guests ~ 130 volunteers ~ 1,000 volunteer hours
Ascension Hospital worker support = gathered 2,200 drinks, 3,800 snacks and 40 cleaning supplies
May Church Spring Cleaning = 55 volunteers
August Sterling Heights Serve Day = 7 Volunteers

Giving for Ghana mission trip (Through August): $34,124
As 2020 draws to a close, our ministry has expanded past the walls of our church. We continue to grow in the virtual world as we experiment with more and more ministry on-line.
