MCREST 2024

APRIL 14 - 21

We are partnering with MCREST (Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team) to host women and kids at their shelter in Mt. Clemens. For the week of April 14 through 21, we will be supplying all of their meals. We have done this in many different capacities for over 10 years, and it has always been a wonderful opportunity to serve people in our community.

BLOOD DRIVE

SEPTEMBER 4, 2024

12:00 - 6:00PM

FIND OTHER DRIVE LOCATIONS AND DONATE ON RED CROSS WEBSITE.

Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation.

FOOD PACKING NIGHT

DECEMBER 2023

Thanks to your dedication and hard work, we packed 30,528 meals!

Those meals are on their way to Ghana and our partner Austin Ganyo with Training Tomorrow's Leaders.

On April 17, 2024, the Bremen Express, a cargo ship (see picture below) will arrive at Port Tema, Ghana from Norfolk, Virginia. This ship is carrying over 288,000 nutritious meals for Austin Ganyo and Training Tomorrow's Leaders. The International Disaster Emergency Services (IDES) donated the shipping container to this ministry.

A portion of these meals will be distributed by David, Andy, and Steve during their mission trip to Ghana in July.

Pray these meals arrive safely during the voyage to Ghana, and then by land to TTL's headquarters in Tamale.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT!

READING COACHES
AT SCHWARZKOFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Once a week, the reading coaches work with the same 2-3 students during the school day to give them 20 to 25 minutes of uninterrupted reading practice. Many of these children do not get this type of attention at home. It helps them build word recognition skills, confidence in reading, and comprehension of what they are reading. Training is provided by the school's reading specialist.

Background checks are required by the schools for all coaches prior to participating.
