SERVING WITH MACOMB

MCREST
THANK YOU!
We had the privilege of serving the women and children of MCREST at their new facility in Mt. Clemens. We were able to provide all their meals, a game night, a movie night, and listening ears. All the food was provided by donations and cooked and served by attendees and friends of Macomb. We are so thankful for your servant's heart.
BLOOD DRIVE
DECEMBER 28
FIND OTHER DRIVE LOCATIONS AND DONATE ON RED CROSS WEBSITE.
Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation.

READING COACHES
AT SCHWARZKOFF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
TRAINING/MEETING:
OCTOBER 6 AND OCTOBER 13
9:00-10:00AM
AT SCHWARZKOFF
Once a week, the reading coaches work with the same 2-3 students during the school day to give them 20 to 25 minutes of uninterrupted reading practice. Many of these children do not get this type of attention at home. It helps them build word recognition skills, confidence in reading, and comprehension of what they are reading. Training is provided by the school's reading specialist.
Background checks are required by the schools for all coaches prior to participating. The link is on our registration form.
READING PROGRAMS BEGINS WEEK OF OCTOBER 16
FOOD PACKING NIGHT
DECEMBER 10

We are partnering with International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES) to pack 30,000 nutritious meals. IDES meal packing program is called God Always Provide (GAP). For 25 cents per meal, we can feed thousands of people. IDES specialty is to go into areas of emergency with the care needed for communities in crisis.
Our Food Packing Night involves assembling the ingredients, combining, sealing, and packing them in boxes that will later be distributed by the organization. To protect each other and the food we pack, gloves and hair nets are required and will be provided for you.

SERVE AT MACOMB

WORK DAY
NOVEMBER 18
8:00AM - 1:00PM
One of the ways we keep our church and church grounds looking so good, is with your help! Not only is this a great way to see and meet other Macomb church attenders, it saves the church lots of money by using volunteers.
We have indoor and outdoor opportunities. Children are welcome, but childcare is not provided.
Rain or shine, we'll be here! Come when you can; leave when you must. Homemade lunch will be provided.
