KIDS MINISTER
Purpose: To provide visionary leadership and oversight to the Kids Ministry (birth – 6th grade).
Reports to: Lead Minister
Oversight of: Kids Ministry
Hours: 25 to 30 hours per week - Part Time
Salary: $25,000 to $30,000 a year (depending on education and experience)
Responsibilities:
Primary:
-
Develop a clearly defined vision and strategy for discipleship within Kids Ministry that works in conjunction with the overall vision and ministry of Macomb Christian Church.

Build a solid kids ministry that includes, but is not limited to, Biblical teaching, Bible verse memorization, and understanding of key Bible stories.
-
Develop a Kids Ministry Leadership Team consisting of key committed and gifted volunteers.
-
Promote over-all ministry and events with kids and parents publicly and through church publications and social media.

Lead, recruit, train, and develop volunteers for Kids Ministry.
-
Develop and implement strategy for whole-family discipleship. Work with families to equip and empower parents/families to disciple their children.

Provide oversight and planning for all aspects of Kids Ministry programming, including:

Sunday morning Kids Worship
-
Mid-week programming
-
Outreach events
-
Family events/programming
-
Special Summer Programs
-
Curriculum selection/development for all programming
-
Provide oversight to Kids Ministry budget and help develop the budgetary needs for upcoming years.

Provide shared oversight and partnership with our ministry to children and students with special needs.

Work with student minister to set expectations for Biblical knowledge kids should possess by the time they enter the student (teen) program
Secondary:
-
Work as a team player with the ministerial and support staff. This includes making every effort to attend all staff functions (i.e. staff meetings, retreats, planning sessions, etc.)
-
Participate and provide support and leadership (when necessary) in church-wide events, even if they do not directly affect the Kids Ministry.

Other Expectations:
There is an expectation of staff members to be part of a Life Group (small gathering where you share food, Bible study, pray, & focus on Biblical living for the Kingdom), attend Macomb church services regularly, adhere to the Biblical standard of tithing, and volunteer within other ministries/events. All staff members are also expected to adhere to Biblical beliefs & values as outlined by the church leadership.
STUDENT MINISTER
Purpose: To provide visionary leadership and oversight to the Student Ministry (7-12th Grades).
Reports to: Lead Minister
Oversight of: Student Ministry leadership team
Hours: 25 to 30 hours per week Part to Full Time
Part Time Salary: $25,000 to $30,000 a year (depending on education and experience)
Full Time Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 with full benefits (Depending on education and experience)
Responsibilities:
Primary:

Develop a clearly defined vision and strategy for discipleship within the Student Ministry that works in conjunction with the overall vision and ministry of Macomb Christian Church.

Teach and counsel youth with Biblical truths that include principles for living a Christian life.

Build and develop the Student Ministry Leadership Team consisting of key committed and gifted volunteers.

Promote over-all ministry and events with students and parents publicly and through church publications and social media.

Lead, recruit, train, develop and meet regularly with volunteers for Student Ministry.
-
Develop and implement strategy for whole-family discipleship; working with families to equip and empower parents/families to disciple their teens.

Provide oversight and planning for all aspects of Student Ministry programming, including:

Weekly group meeting for teaching, worship, and discipleship

Teaching opportunities
-
Outreach events
-
Summer camps & conferences

Curriculum selection/development for all programming

Provide oversight to Student Ministry budget and help develop the budgetary needs for upcoming years.

Provide small group opportunities for students promoting discipleship and leadership development

Work with Kids Minister to set expectations on what Biblical knowledge kids should possess by the time they enter the student program
Full Time:
The position will be considered full time if the candidate can provide oversight to other areas of ministry needed within the church. These areas could include responsibilities of:

Preaching
-
Adult discipleship
-
Outreach
-
Church community development
-
Building oversight
Secondary:
